Granada

Granada
Tu tierra está llena
De lindas mujeres
De sangre y de sol
The Los Angeles Negros's song "Granada" is a love ode to the Spanish province of Granada. The song eagerly sings of the beauty of Granada that has left a lasting impression on the singer. The song opens with the singer expressing how his singing is transformed when it comes to Granada - his voice becomes gypsy-like because the place is a dreamland for him. The singer's song is made up of fantasies, and his emotive singing is a flower of melancholy that is offered to the land of Granada.
The song later shifts its focus to Granada's Moorish history, where the singer acknowledges its past, a land that was once soaked with blood from the bullfights fought in the town. The song mentions the enchanting eyes of the Moorish women, still maintaining the allure that captured the hearts of ages. The singer personifies Granada as a rebellious gypsy woman who is covered with flowers, and he kisses her bright red lips like a ripe, juicy apple that speaks of love. He ends the song by referring to Granada as "Manola," who is sung about in beautiful coplas, and the only thing the singer has to offer her is a bouquet of roses with a soft fragrance.

@juancanales3039
