Marco Antonio Solís also wrote and produced albums for artists such as Marisela, Rocío Dúrcal, and María Sorté. After years of a successful career with "Los Bukis" Marco Antonio decided to pursue a solo career. At first Marco Antonio Solís was called "El Buki" but after an agreement with the rest of the band both parties agreed to not make use of the name. The new band is called Los Mismos ("the same ones") as in "the same members of Los Bukis".

El sr pandero es el hermano del buki y se llama joso Luis. Y déjame decirte que sigue mejor que nunca sonando e.pandero y la batería, tuve la oportunidades de ir al concierto de ellos aquí en Guadalajara y fue todo un éxito son lo máximo y el sr pandero no sé diga una persona muy humilde.
