1) Los Hermanos is a Brazilian band from the state of Rio de Janeiro, which mixes up indie rock with mpb and samba elements. The band members are Marcelo Camelo, Rodrigo Amarante (both guitars, lyrics and vocals), Bruno Medina (keyboard) and Rodrigo Barba (drums).

They recorded two demos that eventually found their way into the hands of Paulo André, the producer of the Abril Pro Rock festival, in Recife. The band was then invited to perform on one of the biggest alternative music festivals in Brazil, the Superdemo. Their self-titled album, released in 1999, became a huge seller on the back of the hit single Anna Julia. Two less financially successful albums, Bloco do Eu Sozinho (2001) and Ventura (2003), followed, changing the punk-rock that highlighted their debut effort to a softer, more laid-back style. Although those two albums did not sell as much as the first one, they consolidated the band as a cult; mainly because of their so-called clever lyrics and mixture of brazilian rhytmhs with rock. Their newest record, simply titled 4 (four), was released in August, 2005.

Do Sétimo Andar by Los Hermanos is a song that expresses the singer’s feelings of love and protection for a loved one. The first verse talks about how the singer advertised their love, but nobody saw it. They put up the most beautiful photo they had of their loved one, looking at them. The chorus then conveys the idea that the singer wanted to protect their loved one from the danger that they posed to themselves. They knew that it sounded like something that should not be said, but their only concern was for their loved one to stay safe. The second verse talks about how the singer used to look at their loved one from the seventh floor, and they could see the wasted light of morning in a cup of coffee.
The third verse takes a nostalgic tone as it reminisces about the time the singer gave their loved one habu tea to cure them of their cough and bad odor. The verse then ends with the uncomfortable memory of having to take their loved one to a place where they did not want to stay. The final verse reflects on the possibility of seeing their loved one on a random street corner and wonders if they would run away if they saw them. The chorus then repeats as the singer concludes that if their loved one were to go away, they would run after them.
