Come to me, please
I know you don't think I
Need you but I do
And I will show you how
You have my heart in your hand
So, don't you leave us
Broken and sad
Broken and sad
I want to ease you from
Your pain, your memories and
I want to pull you from
The demons that torture you
So don't think I've got it easy
Don't think I've got it easy
And I'll hold a candle for you
I'll hold, I'll hold
Come to me
Come to me, please
I know you don't think I
Need you but I do
And I will show you how
You have my heart in your hand
So, don't you
Leave us
Broken and sad
Broken and sad
Broken and sad
I hope that you will feel
The love that's surrounding you and
I hope that you will see
That time waits for nobody, so
Know that I'll always love you
Know that I'll always love you
And I'll hold a candle for you
I'll hold a, I'll hold
Come to me
Come to me, please
I know you don't think I
Need you but I do
And I will show you how
You have my heart in your hand
So, don't you leave us broken and sad
Broken and sad
Come to me
Come to me, please (Broken and sad)
I know you don't think I
Need you but I do
And I will show you how
You have my heart in your hands
So, don't you
Leave us
Broken and sad
Broken and sad
Broken and sad
Louise Carver's song "Come To Me" is a heartfelt plea to someone she loves. The song begins with an urgent call to come to her, even though the person may not believe that they are needed. She then goes on to explain that the person has her heart in their hands and she begs them not to leave them broken and sad. The chorus repeats the desire for the person to come to her and reminds them of the power they have over her heart.
Throughout the song, Carver expresses a desire to ease the person's pain and free them from the demons that torment them. She acknowledges that she doesn't have it easy herself and vows to always hold a candle for the person she loves. The song ends with the same refrain, a plea for the person to come to her and a reminder that their happiness is intricately tied to her own.
The lyrics of "Come To Me" are an emotional exhortation to someone to open up and share their pain with her. The song's theme of interconnectedness and mutual dependence is universal and relatable. It speaks to the idea that we all need someone to lean on and that sometimes asking for help is the bravest thing we can do.
