She was signed to Silver Tulip Music at the age of 15, and her first single, "It Don’t Matter", became a huge success on the domestic charts in 1996/97. She was just 17 at the time. The debut album "Mirrors and Windows" was released the following year, with another two singles lifted from it.
Louise then went to explore other avenues and lent her vocal, songwriting and production skills to the dance arena, with the "Looking Around" EP released in 2001 before the "Play the Game" and "I'd Say Yes" tracks produced in the UK filled dance floors in the years that followed.
First Single: ‘It Don’t Matter’ [released at the end of 1996.] Reached the number 1 position on the national Campus Charts and after 11 weeks on the 5FM Top 40, reached 3rd position.

Louise then went on to explore other avenues and lent her vocal chords, songs and production to the dance arena, doing live performances with some of the hottest underground DJ’s. ‘My Reality’ [first single off the EP], reached 10th position on the 5FM Top 40.
The R&B/Pop track, ‘Looking around’ was placed on high rotation on several other leading radio stations.
In 2002 Louise released her single 'Words don’t mean a thing', in which wrote, sang, arranged and co-produced the music. It was instantly picked up by all major radio stations [no. 11 on 5FM Top 40, high rotation on R&B stations] and has proved popular ever since.

Take Comfort
Louise Carver Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Hearted
No more watch you fall asleep
Five long years and
Now a stranger
Long before you realise
Take comfort in asking me to leave
Take comfort in honesty to break this
But I knew before you did
(Oh)
Sleep soundly with
Another
Do you still see my face?
Took you no time to recover
Whilst I was left to feel the pain
So take comfort in offering the white flag
Take comfort in asking me to leave
Take comfort in honesty to break this
But I knew before you did
(Oh)
Take everything
Banish your life dreams
Roaches climb the wall
And I'm feeling very, very small
Why'd you punish me?
Gave you honesty
You made the call
And now you're not so, not so sure
Take comfort in offering the white flag
Take comfort in asking me to leave
Take comfort in honesty to break this
But I knew, oh
I knew, oh
I knew before you did
Oh
Before you did
Oh
The lyrics to Louise Carver's song "Take Comfort" hint at a bittersweet aftermath of a broken relationship. The opening lines, "Always broken hearted, no more watch you fall asleep" suggest a history of heartbreak and disappointment. The singer expresses a sense of detachment and distance, as they say, "Five long years and now a stranger, long before you realize." This hints at the passage of time in the relationship and the singer's growing realization that they have become strangers to each other.
The chorus of the song, "So take comfort in offering the white flag, take comfort in asking me to leave, take comfort in honesty to break this, but I knew before you did," suggests that the singer finds solace in the other person's willingness to admit defeat and let go. They see it as an opportunity for honesty and closure. The lines "Sleep soundly with another, do you still see my face? Took you no time to recover, whilst I was left to feel the pain" imply that the other person has moved on quickly while the singer is left grappling with the emotional aftermath.
The bridge section, "Take everything, banish your life dreams, roaches climb the wall, and I'm feeling very, very small. Why'd you punish me? Gave you honesty, you made the call, and now you're not so, not so sure," paints a picture of despair and vulnerability. The singer feels as though they have lost everything and are left feeling insignificant. They question why they are being punished despite offering honesty in the relationship and suggest that the other person is now unsure of their decision.
Overall, the song's lyrics explore the complex emotions that arise after a relationship ends. It delves into feelings of hurt, detachment, and the need for closure. The singer finds some solace in the other person's admission of defeat and their own awareness of the situation, but still grapples with the pain left behind.

Don’t worry about it
Don't think about it
Don’t worry about it
Don't think about it
It don't matter
It don't matter
It don't matter
It don't matter
It don't matter
Sitting alone on your bed
What's going on?
What's been said?
And it’s Saturday night and everybody's out
Waiting for a special call
But it don't come
It don't come, it don't come, it don't come
But don’t worry about it
Don't think about it
But don’t worry about it
Don't think about it
It don't matter

All of the girls
Traditional ways, they don't have lovers
But are getting engaged
And you're such an individual
It's not your thing but they don't believe you
They don't believe you
Down down down down
Down down down down
But don’t worry about it
Don't think about it
But don’t worry about it
Don't think about it
