The opening lyrics of the song "La Minifalda" by Manolo Escobar expresses the singer's disapproval of his girlfriend wearing a mini-skirt to the bullfight. He believes that people will only look at her face and knees and not the bull, and that the young onlookers will continuously stare at her inappropriately. He is tired of fighting the unwanted attention that his girlfriend's attire brings and wants her to refrain from wearing short skirts to bullfights so that he can concentrate on watching the bulls instead of fighting off admirers.
In the next verse, the singer asks his girlfriend to stop staring at him in a certain way because her eyes "drown" him and take away his reasoning. He requests that she doesn't come to his house anymore because he doesn't want to fall in love with her, even though his wife warned him about her. He is helpless against the woman's beauty and knows that he can't resist her, so he begs for her to stay away from him.
In the final verse, the singer forbids his girlfriend from going to the market alone because he thinks the vendors there will harass her with flattery. He is already half-mad with jealousy and can't stand the thought of other men saying kind words to her. The final lines express his desire to be with her, to be led wherever she wants to take him, and how she is like a turbulent sea and he is a boat drifting aimlessly since he met her.
