DYSTOPIA
Midnight Juggernauts Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Across the darkened sky
Stars, they will shine again
They're shining above you
Satellite dreams come raining down
Keep falling to the earth
Now as they hit the ground
Any given minute we'll witness
The planets falling from on high
Sparkle as they're falling
Through the twilight sky
Fly over dystopia
All over
No one understood how we possibly
Could circle round the world
Averting catastrophe
Averting the sunrise
Running out of senses to guide the way
We're running out of time
Running from yesterday
We're running through darkness
Any given minute we'll witness
The planets falling from on high
Sparkle as they're falling
Through the twilight sky
Fly over dystopia
All over
The lyrics to Midnight Juggernauts's song Dystopia depict a world in chaos and disarray. The singer is waiting for the moon to rise again and for the stars to shine, but the world is in a state of dystopia where the planets are falling from the sky, and the only way to escape is to fly over it. The imagery of falling planets and shattered dreams convey a sense of hopelessness and despair that envelops the world.
The song talks about the struggle to survive in a world that is coming apart at the seams. It speaks of how humans have circled the world and averted catastrophe, but now they are running out of time and senses to guide their way. The lyrics suggest that darkness is all around, and there is no way out, except to fly over dystopia. The song's message is clear, to survive in a world that is falling apart, humans must rise above it.
