Why do the colors fade? Open my head
But the sapphire finds a way to stay
Reminding me coming back home
Every day, brings a new light a new light
Visions from now and then turn to a butterfly
Now And Then we never went
Your bed is proof love, strength within
Take it in deep their closin' the evergreen
Let it crystallize their insides
Crying in between remember it
Coming back pains
If it's time in another life
Visions from now and then rise to a new life
A new life
Now And Then we never went
Your bed is proof love, strength within
Just turn around now, then
Now, now now and, and then now and then
The lyrics of Moonchild's song "Now and Then" convey a sense of introspection and reflection, exploring themes of love, nostalgia, and personal growth. The opening lines, "Deeper into you the blue, why do the colors fade?" suggest a search for deeper meaning and understanding within oneself. The singer is questioning why things that were once vibrant and alive seem to lose their intensity. By saying "open my head," they are willing to explore their thoughts and emotions openly.
The mention of sapphire, a precious gem symbolizing wisdom and intuition, implies that despite the fading colors, there is something within them that remains constant and guides them. It serves as a reminder of their home, a place of comfort and familiarity. The repetition of "every day brings a new light" suggests an optimism and hope for growth and renewal.
The second verse continues this exploration of personal transformation. The lines "Take it in deep, they're closin' the evergreen, let it crystallize their insides" suggest that as others close themselves off, the singer chooses to absorb and process their experiences deeply. They acknowledge the pain that comes with growth and change, but also recognize that it is necessary for personal evolution. The repetition of "now and then" emphasizes the cyclical nature of life and the constant ebb and flow of experiences.
Overall, "Now and Then" encourages introspection, embracing change and personal growth, and finding strength in love and familiar connections.
