Un Blasfemo
Morgan Lyrics

The song "Un Blasfemo" by Morgan is a reflection on the artist's relationship with faith and religion. The lyrics suggest that he has turned his back on traditional religious beliefs, stating that he will never bow down or blush for love again, as he believes that winter (symbolizing a lack of warmth or hope) has convinced him that God would not blush to steal his soul. Morgan confesses that he was arrested for his lifestyle, which was seen as blasphemy by some, but also suggests that the authorities had no legal basis to punish him. He reflects on the fact that he was not killed by death, but by two bigoted guards who sought to condemn him, indicating that he feels persecuted for his beliefs.
The crux of the song comes in the lines "Because I said that God cheated the first man, he forced him to travel a life as a fool. In the enchanted garden, he forced him to dream, to ignore that there is good and evil in the world." This suggests that Morgan views the idea of original sin and Adam and Eve's banishment from the Garden of Eden as a way for God to control humanity, and that he finds fault with the idea that humans are innately sinful. He goes on to suggest that God stopped humans from reaching for knowledge and growth, and that he invented death and the seasons to keep humans in check. Morgan ultimately suggests that the idea of a forbidden fruit is still alive and well on earth, and that humanity is still being forced to dream in an enchanted garden by someone who wants to keep them ignorant and powerless.
