Un Ottico
Morgan Lyrics

Il mercante di luce, il vostro oculista,
Ora vuole soltanto clienti speciali
In Morgan's song "Un Ottico," he explores the ideas of perception and the role of an optician. He describes the optician, previously seen as someone who helps people with their vision, as now only interested in special clients who don't know what to do with their normal eyes. Morgan refers to these clients as "daltonici presbiti" or color-blind and far-sighted individuals. The optician, now a "mercante di luce" or a light merchant, appears to be more interested in selling lenses to people who want to experience a different perception of the world.
Morgan further describes how this new approach to the profession has turned the optician into a "spacciatore di lenti" or a lens dealer, willing to create happy eyes through the use of lenses. He believes that with familiar eyes copying what they see, the mind can invent new worlds to observe through the lenses. Morgan invites the listener to follow him in dreaming with these eyes, escaping from reality, and not wanting to return to the orbit.
Overall, the lyrics of the song blend the ideas of perception, reality and imagination to describe the changing role of the optician in contemporary society. Through colorful language, Morgan suggests that people can change the way they perceive the world with the help of different lenses and implies that it might lead to a more fulfilling and fascinating way of looking at things.
