the time lords were so nice then they turned evil
it just shows that they have changed and power isn't all good
and that's why the doctor destroyed Gallifrey (before saving it because of the guilt)
Because they were going to destroy everyone with their war which was destroying the whole universe
That's why the Doctor destroyed them
Because they became evil
or immoral

I seriously don't understand why people dislike the End of Time. Apart from the Cactus People and maybe the Master flying it's perfect!
John David Tibbetts
I can forgive the cactus people because my writer eyes can recognize a plot point meant to get the story out of a corner and I can't fault that in good conscience XD
The master flying could have looked awesome if tennant's era had the Whitaker era's budget
Ruban Ace XD

The difference seems to be the awareness of what each other wanted them out the way for, The Master realised The Doctor was aiming at the machine and dived out the way as soon as he figured it out, but when it was The Doctor's turn to get out the way he wasn't sure what he was in the way of until ya seem him dive clear of an energy bolt it's like "get out of the way of wha-?" dives for cover
