The Misfits were known for their sing-along "Whoa-oh-oh" choruses after the 1982 "Walk Among Us" LP -- and although Naked Raygun are often cited as having been influenced by The Misfits in this regard, the reverse is the case.
Haggerty and Kezdy would later join with Larry Damore of the Bhopal Stiffs to form Pegboy. Pezzati fronted The Bomb. A reunion in the late 90s produced the live album Free Shit!. The band reunited for Riot Fest 2006 on November 5, 2006 in Chicago, Illinois, and is playing a west coast tour in December, 2007.

The lyrics to Naked Raygun's song "Coldbringer" tell a story of a dystopian world full of chaos, crime and destruction. The opening lines set the tone of despair and apathy towards the current state of things. The Knight, possibly a reference to Batman, is expected to bring order and justice but it seems like he has failed. The mention of electric slows and lack of sun to make things grow suggest that technology has also failed humanity. The song also references James Gordon, another character from the Batman comics, who is searching for his love Sarah but finds her apartment burned down.
The lyrics then transition into a scene of the sons of Batman gearing up for battle. They are expected to turn into men as they face their enemies. As the song comes to a close, we recognize that there will always be threats and challenges that face us, but we must face them with resolve and strength.
