The Misfits were known for their sing-along "Whoa-oh-oh" choruses after the 1982 "Walk Among Us" LP -- and although Naked Raygun are often cited as having been influenced by The Misfits in this regard, the reverse is the case.
Haggerty and Kezdy would later join with Larry Damore of the Bhopal Stiffs to form Pegboy. Pezzati fronted The Bomb. A reunion in the late 90s produced the live album Free Shit!. The band reunited for Riot Fest 2006 on November 5, 2006 in Chicago, Illinois, and is playing a west coast tour in December, 2007.

The lyrics of Naked Raygun's song, The Strip, depict a seedy and debaucherous strip club that seems to attract a diverse clientele, even inviting some to bring their mothers and their friends to the establishment. The band paints a vivid picture of the ambiance and services offered at The Strip, with all-nude reviews, mud wrestling, and free beer nights. The repeated line "Good service" along with the descriptions of the entertainments on offer suggests that the club attracts regular patrons who are familiar with the services and the staff who provide them.
However, the line "Bring your mom and your mom's friends too" can be interpreted in different ways. On the one hand, it could suggest a kind of ironic humor or sarcasm, referring to the club as a place that is so inappropriate and racy that only one's mom and her friends would be comfortable there. On the other hand, it could be read as a voyeuristic invitation for young men to bring their mothers to the strip club, blurring the line between the safe, maternal bond and the inherently taboo nature of strip clubs.
All in all, the lyrics of The Strip offer a critique of both the strip club culture and the behavior of the patrons who frequent it, pointing to ways in which society's problematic views of gender, sexuality, and objectification are perpetuated in such establishments.
