The Misfits were known for their sing-along "Whoa-oh-oh" choruses after the 1982 "Walk Among Us" LP -- and although Naked Raygun are often cited as having been influenced by The Misfits in this regard, the reverse is the case.
Haggerty and Kezdy would later join with Larry Damore of the Bhopal Stiffs to form Pegboy. Pezzati fronted The Bomb. A reunion in the late 90s produced the live album Free Shit!. The band reunited for Riot Fest 2006 on November 5, 2006 in Chicago, Illinois, and is playing a west coast tour in December, 2007.

When the Walls Come Down
Naked Raygun Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
When the finding's out and the fryin' pan flies
And the sound resounds when your love is burned
And you just can't take it any more
When the walls come down
When the walls come down
A crack starts near ground
There's the fear that's like a leech on your heart
And it's in the eyes of your enemy
Then there's the clutch near death the dying strike
Impress your fist upon the face of eternity
When the walls come down
When the walls come down
A crack starts near ground
Will it all come down
The lyrics to Naked Raygun's song "When the Walls Come Down" seems to be eluding to the theme of impending doom and destruction. The first two lines mention the big ball swinging towards someone, possibly a metaphor for an unavoidable event or disaster. The line "when the finding's out and the fryin' pan flies" could indicate a moment when the truth is revealed and consequences follow. The following line "the sound resounds when your love is burned" describes a painful experience, possibly the loss of love or betrayal. The final line "and you just can't take it any more" suggests a breaking point, where one becomes overwhelmed and unable to cope with the situation.
The chorus "when the walls come down, a crack starts near ground, will it all come down" seems to capture the overall sense of chaos and destruction that the lyrics portray. The walls coming down can symbolize a collapse of order, leaving everything vulnerable to collapse. The crack near ground could represent the first sign of instability in a previously secure structure, foreshadowing the eventual collapse of everything.
Overall, the song could be interpreted as a warning about the frailty of human existence and the inevitability of destruction. The lyrics paint a bleak picture of a world on the brink of collapse, filled with fear, pain, and uncertainty.
