Nebelung is the ancient German name for the month of November. The group's roots lead further back to a fullmoon Beltane night in the year of 1999, when Stefan and Thomas were wandering the forests around the Brocken in the Harz Mountains. In this night the woods revealed their stunning beauty and gave rise to a higher mystical understanding of man and nature. It is this spirituality, which inspires Nebelung to their lyrics and music.

Ich Würd Es Hören
Nebelung Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Auf hoher Alp begraben,
Ich schliefe mitten im Juchhein
Der wilden Hirtenknaben.
Wo sonst ich lag im süßen Tag,
Läg ich in dunkeln Decken,
Der Laue Krach und dumpfer Schlag,
Und käme schwarzer Sturm gerauscht
Und schüttelte die Tannen,
Er führe, von mir unbelauscht,
Vorüber und von dannen.
Doch klänge sanfter Glockenchor,
Ich ließe mich wohl stören
Und lauscht ein Weilchen gern empor,
Das Herdgeläut zu hören.
The song "Ich würd es hören" by Nebelung depicts a sense of longing for a peaceful and harmonious life. The first verse talks about being buried in the high Alps, away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The singer mentions sleeping in the midst of wild shepherd boys' celebrations, and how the noise and commotion around them would not wake them up. They long to be in the midst of the mountains, surrounded only by the sounds of nature.
The second verse mentions how even in the midst of a heavy storm, the singer would not be disturbed as they sleep, and they would rest peacefully away from the dangers of the outside world. However, the sound of church bells ringing would cause them to stir and pay attention, as they enjoy the peaceful and soothing sounds of the bells in the background.
This song captures the desire for peace and tranquility in a world that is constantly noisy and chaotic. The singer longs to be in a peaceful and isolated environment, away from the sounds of civilization. The song highlights how the sound of nature can heal the soul and how even the smallest sounds like a church bell can evoke feelings of peace.

Läg dort ich unterm Firneschein
If I were lying there under the northern lights, high up in the mountains, buried on a high alp, I would be sound asleep amidst the wild shepherd boys' festivities.
Wo sonst ich lag im süßen Tag,
In a place where I normally would lay down on sweet days,
Läg ich in dunkeln Decken,
I would instead be laying under dark, thick blankets.
Der Laue Krach und dumpfer Schlag,
The faint noise and dull thud,
Er würde mich nicht wecken.
Would not wake me from my deep sleep.
Und käme schwarzer Sturm gerauscht
And if a black storm were to approach,
Und schüttelte die Tannen,
Shaking the fir trees violently,
Er führe, von mir unbelauscht,
I would remain oblivious and unaware,
Vorüber und von dannen.
As it passes by and disappears into the distance.
Doch klänge sanfter Glockenchor,
But if I were to hear a gentle choir of bells,
Ich ließe mich wohl stören
I would willingly interrupt my sleep,
Und lauscht ein Weilchen gern empor,
And listen attentively for a while,
Das Herdgeläut zu hören.
To hear the sound of the village bells ringing in the valley below.

Fits perfectly with the album art. I really like this kind of music which sets a nocturne and cold atmosphere.
