She is the current touring guitarist for Alice Cooper and has a successful career as a solo artist. Strauss was the first female signature artist with Ibanez guitars and is regularly featured on the covers of worldwide print magazines including Guitar World and Guitar Player. She was ranked No. 1 on Guitar World's list of "10 Female Guitar Players You Should Know".
Strauss started touring with her own band Lia-Fail as a teenager, leaving high school in her junior year to pursue music full time; the band included future world champion boxer Mikaela Mayer. Although initially known for her work with Iron Maiden all-female tribute band The Iron Maidens, Strauss' career has included performing with several rock ensembles including Consume the Fire, Femme Fatale, and the video-game supergroup Critical Hit.
In 2014, Strauss was the official in-house guitarist for the Los Angeles Kiss (LA KISS), the arena football team owned by Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons of KISS. The house band played the national anthem and provided additional music during the games.
In June 2014, Strauss was hired to replace Orianthi as Alice Cooper's touring guitarist for the remaining 2014 tour dates. She has toured with Alice Cooper since that time.
In April 2018, Strauss launched a Kickstarter campaign for her debut solo record 'Controlled Chaos'.
In October 2021 she shared "'Dead Inside", her first new solo music since the release of her debut album.
Nita will release her sophomore solo album, ""'The Call Of The Void", on July 7, 2023.

when she was play in alice band for first time or for awhile. alice asker to do play solo she said no. alice i want you play solo. since i want people to hear your music and give you spottling you should have. since that day she now get solo on each of show while alice take break

This young lady is gold. She is so talented and writes music for the people she highlights. Not to mention her guitar playing in beyond reproach. Her song with David D was perfect for David D as vocals, her song with AWG was perfect for AWG and this song is perfect for Alice. You have taken the lead in my book for best all round guitarist musician and I am 57 years old so trust me that was no small feat. Cannot wait to hear what is next. By the way Bravo on choice with Demi Lavato. Once again proving your talents are not just exceptional in one genre but, in every genre. I would not be shocked to see you with a country star or rap artist in the future.
