The lyrics to Olimpo Cárdenas's song "Cuatro Vidas" express a deep and unwavering devotion to another person. The singer asserts that if they had four lives to live, they would dedicate each one to their beloved, willing to die contentedly for them. The repetition of the lines "Vida, si tuviera cuatro vidas, cuatro vidas serian para ti" emphasizes the depth of their commitment, as if no amount of lives would be enough to fully express their love. The singer also offers their heart, soul, and being to their beloved, indicating that this love encompasses all facets of their being.
The repeated use of the word "contento" (contentedly) underscores the singer's acceptance of whatever fate befalls them as long as it is in service to their beloved. This selflessness and willingness to sacrifice is arguably the ultimate expression of love. The chorus, with its simple and earnest declarations, evokes a sense of purity and sincerity that is deeply moving.
Overall, "Cuatro Vidas" is a beautiful and poignant expression of love and devotion, universal in its simplicity and resonance.
