Und wir hör'n was die Stimmen erzähl'n
Überall klingen fremde Worte
Mit dem Herz können wir sie versteh'n
Lóme alantie
Mornie alantie
Utúlie Tindómion
Ananau, ananau
Nispaniwashkanky
Nuquallapinam chay qawasqaiky
Ananau, ananau
Nispaniwashkanky
Winaypaqchum nuqa qaqasqaiky
May runallam kakuchkanky
Kaycunallapy waqanaypaq
Wanuptyqa nakawanky
Manam munanichu chay pasayta
Wo die Höhen zum Himmel reichen
Lausch der flüsternden Unendlichkeit
Lass uns hier bis zum Morgen bleiben
Ein Nacht lang vergisst uns die Zeit
Lóme alantie
Mornie alantie
Utúlie Tindómion
Ananau, ananau
Nispaniwashkanky
Nuquallapinam chay qawasqaiky
Ananau, ananau
Nispaniwashkanky
Winaypaqchum nuqa qaqasqaiky
May runallam kakuchkanky
Kaycunallapy waqanaypaq
Wanuptyqa nakawanky
Manam munanichu chay pasayta
In the song "Ananau" by Oonagh, the lyrics invite the listener to retreat to the old places where they can listen to the echoes of the past. The voice of the singer implores the listener to pay attention to the voices of the past, which are always present in the sounds of those places. The singer suggests that although the words of the past may seem foreign, they can be understood by listening with the heart. The song then transitions into a chorus sung in a Native American language that means "We are one, we are one, we are one in the spirit."
The second verse of the song suggests that the listener should retreat to a place where the heights reach toward the heavens, and they can listen to the whispering of infinity. The singer suggests that the listener stay there until the morning, where time will be forgotten for one entire night. The song ends with an outro in the same Native American language, repeating the chorus sung earlier in the song.
