1) Ott is a record producer and musician who has worked with Sinéad O'Connor, Embrace, The Orb, and Brian Eno, and has achieved recognition since 2002 for his own psychedelic dub tracks and his collaborations with Simon Posford (Hallucinogen / Shpongle). He has released two albums on Twisted Records: Blumenkraft (2003), Skylon (2008) and one album on Ottsonic: Mir (2011). Ottsonic also released a digital live album in 2013, by Ott & The All-Seeing I, as well as a new digital single from Ott, entitled Baby Robot (2013).
Since the early 2000s, Ott has produced, mixed and recorded music released on Twisted Records, including various collaborations with founder Simon Posford. His first major contribution to Twisted was the record Hallucinogen - In Dub, on which he remixed six classic Hallucinogen songs. In May 2003 he released his own album, Blumenkraft, on Twisted; it was reviewed by The Wire. His work has also been featured in releases from the record label Liquid Sound Design (now known as Liquid Sound, run by Martin Glover), especially those compilations produced by Humphrey Bacchus during his time at the label. He followed up his debut album in January 2008 with Skylon, followed by Mir in March 2011.
Ott performed at the Glastonbury Festival in 2007. His performance at Glade Festival in 2011 was described as "the perfect opening act" in an article at Virtual Festivals. That publication also called Ott a "Psy-dub maestro" and gave his performance a full 10/10.
Ott was accompanied by the The All-Seeing I on tour in 2013, where the latter contributed to live versions of Ott's tracks. This tour was recorded and released in Blu-ray under the title "Live at Terminal West", which also was the title for the live album release.
Ott is otherwise connected to Umberloid which is a collaboration with Chris Barker.
He has also contributed to several other records on Twisted as well as other labels.

Ott Lyrics

Two: all contaminated things and events are unsatisfactory.
Three: all phenomena are empty and selfless.
And four: Nirvana is true peace.
The lyrics of Ott's song "Jack's Cheese and Bread Snack" contain a profound message that is inspired by the Buddhist philosophy. The four statements mentioned in the lyrics summarize the Four Noble Truths, which are the fundamental principles of Buddhism. The first statement, "all composite phenomena are impermanent," emphasizes the idea that all things in life are transient and constantly changing, and this is a source of suffering. The second statement, "all contaminated things and events are unsatisfactory," suggests that we experience dissatisfaction because we cling to things and experiences that are ultimately unsatisfactory. The third statement, "all phenomena are empty and selfless," states that things and events in the world do not have inherent existence or self-nature, but instead are dependent on other factors. Finally, the fourth statement, "Nirvana is true peace," presents Nirvana (enlightenment) as a state of ultimate peace and liberation from all suffering.
The song conveys a holistic perspective on life and the challenges that one may face along the way. By recognizing the impermanence and emptiness of all things and events, we can slowly detach ourselves from the suffering that comes with attachment and clinging. As we let go of our desires and expectations, we open ourselves up to a state of true peace and contentment.

The song begins with the sounds of the world: people talking, instruments clanging, mechanical devices, a car starting, walking in stones. The first image shows excess and wants and craving.
The sounds of the world begin to diminish; elements of carnatic music are ascendant: the drone of the tanpura and the vocal gamak, for example.
The sounds of the world have largely gone extinct; a calm human voice states the Four Dharma Seals.
The image of the Buddha appears. The song takes on a full psychill texture simulating movement of the mind through mental space, now detached from the physical world.
The physical manifestation of these mental states might be the swirling and twirling of esoteric spiritual dance practices that don't 'fit' the typical meaning humans navigate in society.
The middle section of the song finishes with a restatement of the Four Dharma Seals. The image of the Buddha changes and they're no longer holding the various tools that are useful to achieve mindfulness. The Buddha sits in Lotus position, peacefully, as the music shifts into an abstract spacemusic. There's no longer a sense of swirling and twirling, but of an expanding consciousness throughout the universe.
