Overall Meaning

Firstly, it is important to note that these lyrics are in Hindi and are translated to English as follows: "Let me take you to the stars, scatter colours, put flowers on your neck and dance with you in such a way that the heart races, let it rain colours, put flowers on your neck."

The lyrics seem to convey a sense of whimsy and desire to escape into a magical, dream-like world. The singer yearns to take their loved one on a journey to the stars, where they can indulge in playful activities like putting flowers on each other's necks and dancing in a way that makes their hearts race. The phrase "let it rain colours" suggests a desire for a world that is more vibrant and lively than the mundane reality that surrounds them.

Overall, the lyrics of Ott's song "Smoked Glass and Chrome" are imbued with a sense of longing and a desire to escape into a more beautiful, poetic world. The use of imagery like flowers, stars and vibrant colors adds to this dream-like quality and creates a sense of heightened emotion and romanticism.

one day i fear it will be impossible to find this gem

@Autogenification

It might be to do with a sampling issue. The lyrics and a little of the instrumentation in the background comes from a Bollywood track, there is probably a rights issue in there somewhere that I'm sue Ott's working out :)

Have faith that this brilliant tune will be back one day!

@StressMats

@@Autogenification Yeah I figured that out eventually. Also, the copyright claim is expiring in 2028 after 60 years so thats good news
