5-piece Post-Hardcore/Pop band from Essex, United Kingdom.
They were formed in 2009 after the demise of a previous band, and another member leaving his band. The lineup were originally formed as a 4-piece with Vocal roles being filled by the guitarist and the bassist. The band later introduced a synth player into the mix, and now the band are complete.
The bands name derives from the Star Wars character, "Princess Padmé" and a lot of the band songs derive from movie quotes and trivia. The songs are not Star Wars themed however.
The band are set to record an EP in December, and are looking to start playing a lot of shows from September onwards.

The lyrics of Padme's song "Porntakal" express a sense of disappointment and frustration in a relationship. The singer acknowledges that they were once ahead of their partner, but now they feel left behind. The partner didn't understand them during times of need and didn't comprehend what they truly wanted. The partner then makes decisions that seem out of character, like giving up their seat or being embarrassed by tapes. The singer then feels that too much time has passed, and the partner still doesn't understand them or what they want.
Overall, the song seems to be urging the partner to stop forcing themselves to be someone they're not and to take the time to truly understand their significant other. The lyrics are heavy with a sense of longing for a more profound connection that seems unachievable at this point.
