While they are most often classified as a jam band, their music spans many genres and it all has an original edge. Papadosio is a one of a kind, earthy, livetronica act. They are very much in favor the evolution of humanity, in terms of love for one another and this earth, and this all shines through in their music. They have some funky basslines and awesome audio engineering by thogmartin and brouse. In combination, their sound definitely gets people moving and stirs some souls.
Distant Days
Papadosio Lyrics

Will they look back, through mountains of ash,
Industrial flames?
Every moment every hour hiding what's inside
Life′s like brick and mortar inscribing what we leave
Behind
God awful waste
They say
We turned all this green into trash and we threw it
All away
Every moment every hour hiding what's inside
Life's like brick and mortar inscribing what we leave
Behind
Call of the waste
If we make it through this age of fool and see
Distant days
Our daughters and sons will see all life as one
But until that day
Lets all sing love
Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love
The lyrics to Papadosio's song Distant Days are contemplative and introspective, questioning what future generations will think of us and the legacy we leave behind. The opening line of the song sets the tone for this contemplation, as the singer ponders how those looking back on our era will view us as a society. The second line, "will they look back, through mountains of ash, industrial flames?" suggests a bleak future where perhaps our civilization has caused widespread destruction and environmental damage.
As the song continues, the singer questions our priorities as a society and what we value, wondering if future generations will view us with disdain for the way we exploit and waste resources. Despite this reflection on the state of society, the song ends on a hopeful note, with the singer urging listeners to "lets all sing love" and promote a future where all life is valued equally.
Overall, Distant Days is a thought-provoking song that encourages listeners to consider the long-term impact of our actions and work towards a more sustainable future.

Seriously though, why is it that talented bands always have the hardest time getting noticed?

Kind of reminds me of a lot of types of music. Like Frank Zappa, Peruvian mountain music, Jazz, sprinkled with some Steely Dan.. Lots of stuff. Definetly going to check out more of Papadosio.
