Garden
Papadosio Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Take me into your garden
Plant my soul deep into the dirt
Show me what I've been missin' out

Lead me around your city
Make me a stranger to myself
I'd like to know a little more
I've been strugglin', I've been strugglin'
How do ya do it?

Take me into your garden
Plant my soul deep into the dirt
Show me what I've been missin' out
I've been strugglin', I've been strugglin'
How do ya do it?

Take me into your garden
Plant my soul deep into the dirt
Show me what I've been missin' out

Lead me around your city
Make me a stranger to myself
I'd like to know a little more
I've been strugglin', I've been strugglin'
How do ya do it?

Take me into your garden
Plant my soul deep into the dirt
Show me what I've been missin' out
I've been strugglin', I've been strugglin'
How do ya do it?

Lead me around your city
Make me a stranger to myself
I'd like to know a little more

I've been strugglin', I've been strugglin'
How do ya do it?

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Papadosio's song "Garden" are full of metaphors and imagery about self-discovery, growth, and connection with nature. The first verse begins with an invitation to "take me into your garden" and "plant my soul deep into the dirt", which can be interpreted as a desire to be grounded and connected to the earth. The singer then asks to be shown "what I've been missing out", suggesting a feeling of incompleteness or a need for a deeper understanding.

The second verse continues with the theme of self-discovery, as the singer asks to be led around a city and made a "stranger to myself". This can be seen as a desire to break free from routine and familiarity and experience new things, ultimately leading to a better understanding of oneself. The repeated line "I've been strugglin', I've been strugglin'" reinforces this sense of searching and the difficulty that can come with it.

Overall, "Garden" is a song about seeking out new experiences and connections with oneself and the world. The metaphor of a garden suggests the idea of growth and nurturing, and the repeated refrain of "how do ya do it?" could be interpreted as a sense of awe at the beauty and complexity of life.

This song really strikes a chrod with me personally. I've found that my psychadelic use was spurred by my wanting to get away, with the secondary thought being to gain knowledge. The scary trips are the ones that actually give you that knowledge folks. Plant your soul deep, and find what you've been missing out on. It might not be pretty, but you'll know a little more afterwards.

@Matthew Glassman yo I just saw your comment man lol. Holy Heck yea man. I love his finessful way he creates the dissonance in between those notes on find your cloud. The way they all work together in their songs is like nothing else. Each a sly genius master of their insrument creating something that together sounds pulsing and alive. Hope you're doing good after these 3 years it's been. Love, truth, and good health to you.
