humilhações foram tantas, dizem que tem segurança
mas pra mim tanto faz, eu não aguento mais, paz
não existe por aqui
pois eu preciso mentir, chega ai maluco venha pra cá conferir
então você vai ver chacinas frequentes onde se morrem muitos inocentes
chega a doer a minha mente quando eles dizem que o culpado não foi encontrado
enquanto isso o bicho pega do outro lado
massacre no Carandiru onde morreram vários
mas tudo isso pra eles virou histórias do passado
execução sumária
The lyrics of Pavilhão 9's song "Execução Sumária" describe the singer's frustration with the constant police harassment and violence in their community. They express feeling helpless and tired of living in a place where there is no peace, and where they must constantly lie in order to stay safe. The singer observes frequent massacres and deaths of innocent people, and laments the fact that often the perpetrators are not found and justice is not served. The title of the song, "Execução Sumária," refers to the extrajudicial killings that have become all too common in Brazil, especially in marginalized communities.
The song's lyrics and message are a commentary on the lack of accountability within Brazil's police force, and the devastating effects that police violence has on marginalized communities. The lyrics specifically reference several high-profile cases of police violence in Brazil, including the General Vigário massacre and the Carandiru prison massacre. By highlighting these incidents, the song serves as a reminder of Brazil's ongoing struggles with systemic violence and injustice.
