He has gained increasing popularity following the use of his song "Just Another" on popular WB television show Dawson's Creek.
Another of his songs, Murray was used in the credits of the film Igby Goes Down
The song "Undercover" was used in the first Spiderman movie and appears on the soundtrack.
The song "Lose You" was used in the closing of an episode of House on Fox.

And find yourself in the thick of it
Come back home for another year
I always thought that you could handle this
And you know you're hard enough
And you find you're strong enough
And you feel you're strong enough
Come back home for another year
And ask yourself if you could handle this
Say my name before you disappear
I always thought that you could handle this
And you know you're hard enough
And you find you're strong enough
And you feel you're strong enough
In your life, you can talk about it
Oh in your life, you can live without
Can live without
And you know you're hard enough
And you find you're strong enough
Oh yeah you'll find you're hard enough
Oh yeah you'll find you're strong enough
Come back home
Yeah, come back home.
The lyrics of Pete Yorn's song Come Back Home are about someone who has left their home for a year and is now being asked to come back home to revisit the reasons why they left in the first place. The singer acknowledges that the person is strong and hard enough to handle whatever life has thrown at them, and that they have the capacity to live without certain things. However, there is a sense of uncertainty about whether the person will choose to come back or not, and so the singer implores them to come back home to reconnect with their past and to reclaim their place in the world.
The theme of coming back home is further emphasized with the repetition of the phrase "Come back home for another year", which suggests that the person has been away for some time and that their return is more than just a visit, but a chance to rebuild relationships and reconnect with their roots. The line "Say my name before you disappear" could be interpreted as a plea from the singer to not let go of their relationship and to remember the person's connection to their home and the people they left behind.
Overall, the song is a nostalgic journey about coming back home and finding strength and resilience in the face of life's challenges. It is a reminder that no matter where life takes us, there is always a home to return to.
