Peter Cincotti Lyrics

You are too wonderful to be what you seem!
Could there be eyes like yours,
Could there be lips like yours
Could there be smiles like yours,
Honest and truly?
You stepped out of a cloud
I want to take you away, away from the crowd
Alone and apart out of a dream,
Safe in my heart
You stepped out of a dream
You are too wonderful to be what you seem!
Could there be eyes like yours,
Could there be lips like yours
Could there be smiles like yours,
Honest and truly?
You stepped out of a cloud
I want to take you away, away from the crowd
And have you all to myself,
Alone and apart out of a dream,
Safe in my heart
The lyrics to Peter Cincotti's song "You Stepped Out Of A Dream" depict the feeling of being enamoured by someone who appears to be too good to be true. The sentiment of the lyrics is rooted in a dreamy, romantic ethos where the singer muses about their love interest, who seems to have materialised from a world beyond. The person in question is described as wonderful and possessing rare qualities that make them seem out of reach, such as their captivating eyes, lips, and smile.
The line "you are too wonderful to be what you seem" could be interpreted as the singer's disbelief in this person's existence and their wonderment that such a person could exist in the world. The lines "you stepped out of a cloud, I want to take you away, away from the crowd" signify the singer's desire to have this person all to themselves, away from the rest of the world. The line "safe in my heart" represents the singer's desire to treasure this person and keep them close to their heart.
The lyrics of "You Stepped Out Of A Dream" embody the romantic trope of falling in love at first sight. The song's melody reflects the lyrics' longing and desire, transporting the listener to a dreamlike state. “You Stepped Out Of A Dream" is not only a classic love song, but it's also a unique and timeless expression of admiration that is sure to make anyone's heart flutter.
