Una strada
Pierangelo Bertoli Lyrics

E quanto fossimo distanti dai nemici
The lyrics of Pierangelo Bertoli's "Una strada" portray the artist's introspection on his past experiences and aspirations for the future. The opening lines suggest the artist sitting on a warm morning on a meadow, reflecting on his life. He then delves into his memories of days filled with poetry and his desire to live in a world free from hypocrites, weaklings, and saints. Bertoli's sincerity is evident as he speaks of rebellion and determination to create his own path, even if it is dark and uncertain.
As the song progresses, Bertoli discusses the challenges he faced as he matured and became more aware of the world's realities. He speaks of the falsehoods and artifices that often dominate the world, leading to disillusionment and cynicism. Despite this, the artist expresses his desire to guard his sincerity and remain true to himself while striving to create a life he can call his own.
Overall, "Una strada" is a powerful reflection on the human experience, capturing the complex emotions and challenges people face as they navigate life's twists and turns. The lyrics suggest that even in the face of adversity, one can remain hopeful and determined in forging a path they can call their own.
