Love Like No Other
Point of Grace Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
This heart would stumble on someone
As great as you
Out of the blue
Who would've guessed
That I would fall so deep
In a hope as true
Heaven's hands
Lead me to faith's open door
I'm surrounded by a grace
This soul just can't ignore
[Chorus]
Lord, I'm Living in a love like not other
Lost in mercy like I've never known
Lord, I'm trusting in a love like no other
To lead me on
Who would've cared
Enough to reach beyond my thin disguise
To heal my life
Who would've dared
To wear the shame I carried deep inside
To be my sacrifice
Saving me
From myself in the nick of time
Forgiveness found
It's way into this heart of mine
[Chorus]
Unconditionally
You embrace all that I am
It's beyond all reason
It's a love I'll never understand
[Chorus]
The lyrics to Point of Grace's song Love Like No Other speak of the unexpected love and grace that the singer has found in God. The opening lines, "Who would've known/This heart would stumble on someone/As great as you/Out of the blue" express the singer's surprise at finding such a powerful love in their life. They go on to describe a hope that is "as true" and a love that is "like no other," highlighting the magnitude of what they have found in God.
The second verse continues with the theme of unexpected love and healing, as the singer wonders "Who would've cared/Enough to reach beyond my thin disguise/To heal my life/Who would've dared/To wear the shame I carried deep inside/To be my sacrifice." The singer expresses gratitude for this love that has saved them "from myself in the nick of time."
The chorus repeats the phrase "Lord, I'm living in a love like no other" and emphasizes the transformative power of this love, describing it as "lost in mercy like I've never known" and "trusting."
Overall, Love Like No Other is a song about the surprising, transformative power of God's love and grace. It speaks to the experience of many people who have found hope and healing in their faith.
