Munich
R.E.M. Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I'm so glad I found this
I"m so glad I did
I'm so glad I found this
I'm so glad I did

People are fragile things
You should know by now
Be careful what you put them through
People are fragile things
You should know by now
You'll speak when you're spoken to

It breaks when you don't force it
It breaks when you don't try
It breaks if you don't force it
It breaks if you don't try

People are fragile things
You should know by now
Be careful what you put them through
People are fragile things
You should know by now
You'll speak when you're spoken to

With one hand you calm me
With one hand I'm still

With one hand you calm me
With one hand I'm still

People are fragile things
You should know by now
Be careful what you put them through
People are fragile things
You should know by now
You'll speak when you're spoken to

You'll speak when you're spoken to
You'll speak when you're spoken to

He'll speak when he's spoken to
She'll speak when she's spoken to

Love it. It's such a good song. They should do a cover of Interpol's Obstacle 1, or perhaps The National's Apartment Story. I reckon those tunes would suit them well.

Totally agree

Just a fab song. Understated yet brilliant. Michael Stipe's voice is on great form here

REM are just sublime. It's Michael Stipe's voice that made their sound but they were very good accomplished musicians. A blend that has been heard since the early 80's and will be heard long after the flash-in-the-pan rubbish R&B or rap that infests our ears today.
