He completed his secondary education in the National Arthur Rubinstein Music School in Bydgoszcz, and now continues his studies in the Music Academy in Bydgoszcz under Katarzyna Popowa-Zydroń.
He is also a winner of the second prize in Artur Rubinstein in memoriam Piano Competition in Bydgoszcz (2002), 4th International Hamamatsu Piano Competition (2003) and a winner of the Grand Prix at the International Piano Competition in Morocco in 2004. On October 21 2005 he won The 15th International Frederick Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw, and he has also received awards for the best performance of polonaise, mazurkas and concerto.

(Regarding the 8th) I like how he follows the dynamic markings in the score. Unlike, say, Martha Argerich, who plays the whole piece without going below forte. Blechacz's interpretation is my favorite.
