Revelation Theory's members first met in 1997 at Merrimack College in North Andover, and all moved to New York City in 2001 hoping for a career as a band.
In 2002, bassist Matty, a student at New York University, completed the quartet. They recorded a demo EP and began touring; in 2005 they were tapped for the Girls Gone Wild Rocks America tour in 2005.
The group signed to EMI subsidiary Element Records, releasing a full-length, Truth Is Currency, in 2005 and opening on tour with Breaking Benjamin and Fall Out Boy.[1] A single from Truth Is Currency, "Slowburn", hit #27 on the US Mainstream Rock Tracks chart in 2005.
They toured the US with Saliva and Evanescence in 2006 and also toured Europe with Evanescence. In 2007, the band toured with Hinder, Papa Roach, and Buckcherry.
The now renamed Rev Theory is currently in the studio recording their sophomore album with new label Interscope Records entitled Light It Up. The release date is scheduled for June 10, 2008. Their upcoming single "Light It Up" was one of two official theme songs for World Wrestling Entertainment's WrestleMania XXIV pay-per-view event. Patrick D won the "Light It Up" contest & introduced Rev Theory on stage at Thunder Field during Wrestlemania weekend. "Hell Yeah" is the official theme song for WWE One Night Stand 2008[5]. Together, WWE and WJRR have put together an exclusive widget to promote the event. Former WWE Diva Ashley Massaro appears in the music video for "Hell Yeah." The song has also become known for being the intro song for the Detroit Red Wings hockey team as well as the Cartoon Network sporting event, SlamBall (Censored as Hey Yeah).
Rev Theory have recently announced their tour with Flyleaf and Seether.
Rev Theory has also confirmed via press release [6] that they wrote "Voices" specifically for WWE superstar Randy Orton.
Interscope Geffen A&M Records and Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, have joined forces to premiere the hard rock act Rev Theory’s new music video exclusively on the Xbox LIVE Video Store. This will make Rev Theory’s hit single “Hell Yeah” the first ever video premiere on Xbox LIVE.

I'm Sorry
Rev Theory Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Everything's gone and changed but me
I wanna playback every word and sound
To show you
I want a real life
So I broke away from here
Until I feel it
I feel nothing at all
And I'm telling you I'm sorry
Everything has changed
And I'm telling you I'm sorry
Nothing I can do
I want my world back
I can't fix what is done
It's over
Can you see it
All the faults that I have
I'm sorry
I can't remember the last time you called
I waited, until I feel it
I feel nothing at all
And I'm telling you I'm sorry
Everything has changed
And I'm telling you I'm sorry,
I'm sorry
I can't believe this
All these desires
Can you see all the ways I've changed
I want to witness everything you have
Covered inside my own mistakes
And I'm telling you I'm sorry
Everything has changed
And I'm telling you I'm sorry,
I'm sorry
I found my way back home
Everything's gone and changed but me
The song "I'm Sorry" by Rev Theory is about a person who has come back home to find that everything around them has changed, except for themselves. The person is reflecting on their past mistakes and expressing regret for them, specifically in regards to a relationship that they have let slip away. They wish to go back and change everything, but they know that it is too late, and they must face the consequences of their actions. The lyrics show a sense of longing for what was once familiar, a desire to fix the past, and a feeling of acceptance for what cannot be changed.
The repeated line "until I feel it, I feel nothing at all" highlights the person's emotional numbness and struggle to connect with their feelings. They are lost and unable to move forward until they can truly experience their emotions. The lines "Can you see all the ways I've changed / I want to witness everything you have / Covered inside my own mistakes" suggest that the person wants to reconnect with the person they have hurt and understand them better. They realize that their actions have caused harm, and they want to make amends and rebuild the relationship.
Overall, the song conveys a sense of regret and a desire for redemption. It shows how we can be blind to our mistakes until it's too late and how difficult it is to face the consequences of our actions.
