Count Your Blessings Instead Of Sheep
Rosemary Clooney (1) Lyrics

I count my blessings instead of sheep
And I fall asleep counting my blessings
When my bankroll is getting small
I think of when I had none at all
And I fall asleep counting my blessings
I think about a nursery and I picture curly heads
If you're worried and you can't sleep
Just count your blessings instead of sheep
And you'll fall asleep counting your blessings
I think about a nursery and I picture curly heads
And one by one I count them as they slumber in their beds
If you're worried and you can't sleep
Just count your blessings instead of sheep
And you'll fall asleep counting your blessings
The song "Count Your Blessings" by Rosemary Clooney (Holiday) offers a message of hope and positivity to those who may be feeling worried or down. The lyrics suggest that when one is unable to sleep due to anxieties or stress, instead of dwelling on negative thoughts, it is better to focus on the positive things in life and count one's blessings. The act of counting blessings, such as family, friends, good health, a comfortable home, and other joys, can bring about a sense of contentment and help ease one's mind to a peaceful rest.
The song further emphasizes the idea of being grateful and appreciative for what one has. It urges listeners to look beyond the current difficulties and remember times when things were worse, which can help put one's struggles into perspective. The song also encourages listeners to visualize happy images, such as a nursery filled with sleeping children, in order to calm the mind and promote relaxation.

Yea i feel the same! I'm 34 and thankful and blessed my grandparents introduced me to this movie and others of this time! I used to think when i was younger that it was "too old and boring" but it stayed with me and i couldn't go through a Christmas without this movie and still can't!
Now it's up to us to keep passing this along to the next generation. #timeless
