Sugizo is best-known as lead guitarist and at times-violinist of LUNA SEA, and recently became the lead guitarist in X Japan, taking the late hide's place. He also had played a major part in The FLARE, but have since parted ways.
In 2007, Yoshiki and Gackt announced that Sugizo was the lead guitarist in the so-called superband known as S.K.I.N. along with Miyavi. Currently, the future of this project remains unclear. Sugizo is also a member of trance/world music act, Juno Reactor since that year.
Sugizo is still heavily involved with LUNA SEA and in December 2013, recently released 'A Will', LUNA SEA's new studio album after thirteen years. He has also composed original soundtracks as well as acted in for several theatre pieces, including the play '7 Doors' in May 2012 which was a staging of Bartók's opera 'Bluebeard's Castle'. In November 2013, Sugizo was also the musical director and composer for a new staging of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein.
While in Luna Sea, Sugizo almost exclusively used ESP guitars and has around sixteen signature models with them. For his solo projects he often uses Fender guitars and basses. For live violin playing, and recording he uses signature ESP electric violin.

Believe!
Yes, my sweet, yes my sweetest
I wanna get back where you were
Yes, my sweet, yes my sweetest
I wanna get back where you were
Believe!
Believe!
Yes, my sweet, yes my sweetest
I wanna get back where you were
Yes, my sweet, yes my sweetest
I wanna get back where you were
Yes, my sweet, yes my sweetest
I wanna get back where you were
Yes, my sweet, yes my sweetest
I wanna get back where you were
The lyrics of SUGIZO's song Meguriai depict a journey of sorrow and yearning for lost love. The singer reflects on how people accumulate sadness as they grow older, and how they currently shiver with loneliness. Despite this, they still hold onto the sadness of their beloved in their heart. The chorus emphasizes these emotions and talks about returning to the sea with their tears. Another important part of the lyrics is the line "Believe!," which appears at the beginning of each verse and serves as an encouragement for the singer to keep believing in the possibility of meeting their lost love again someday. The second verse also mentions how thinking about those who cannot return makes the heart murky, but the singer still believes that they will meet once more someday. Overall, the song expresses the depth of longing people can feel for someone they have lost.
