Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Sabah Fakhri's song Oul Lel Maliha talk about the beauty of prayer and devotion. The first line translates to "Say to the beautiful one, say to the beautiful one in the black cloak, what have you done with the beads of your rosary?" This line can be interpreted as asking the person in the black cloak about their prayers and how they have been worshipping. The second line translates to "When you stood up to pray, when you stood up for prayer, he wrapped his clothes around himself in the mosque courtyard." This line shows how the person is deeply devoted to praying and is completely immersed in the ritual.

The third and fourth lines repeat the phrase "Allahu Akbar" which means "God is great." This phrase is commonly used in Islamic prayers and is used to signify the greatness of God. The fifth and sixth lines translate to "Oh caller to Allah, with the raised hands, oh oh oh caller." This line refers to the person leading the prayer or the "muezzin" who calls for prayer. The final lines repeat the phrase "Allahu Akbar" again.
