Joyful and triumphant
O come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem
Come and behold him
Born the King of angels
O come, let us adore him
O come, let us adore him
Christ the Lord
Sing, choirs of angels
Sing in exultation
Sing, all ye citizens of heaven above
Glory to God
All glory in the highest
O come, let us adore him
O come, let us adore him
O Come, let us adore him
Christ the Lord
O come, all ye faithful
Joyful and triumphant
O come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem
Come and behold him
Born the King of angels
O come, let us adore him
O Come, let us adore him
Christ the Lord
Christ the Lord
Christ the Lord
Yeah
O come, O come and love him, come together adore him
"O Come All Ye Faithful" is a classic Christmas carol that celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ and invites everyone, both believers and non-believers, to come and adore him. The song begins by calling all faithful believers to come to Bethlehem, where Jesus was born, with joy and a sense of triumph. The phrase "O come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem" emphasizes the urgency and importance of the occasion.
The chorus repeats the invitation to come and adore Christ, emphasizing his role as the King of angels and the Lord. It acknowledges the significance of his birth and urges everyone to worship and show reverence to him. The repetition of the phrase "O come, let us adore him" draws the listeners further into the spirit of the song, creating a sense of unity and community in praising Christ.
The second verse addresses the angels, calling upon them to join in the celebration by singing and rejoicing. The song acknowledges that their voices, as citizens of heaven, add to the glorious atmosphere of the occasion. The chorus is repeated again, reinforcing the call to adore Christ and acknowledging him as the Lord.
The song concludes with a repetition of the opening verses, once again inviting all believers to come to Bethlehem and adore Christ. The final line, "O come, O come and love him, come together adore him," further emphasizes the universal message of love and unity in worshiping Christ.
Overall, "O Come All Ye Faithful" captures the joyful and reverent spirit of Christmas, encouraging believers to come together in adoration of the birth of Christ.
