Scram C Baby Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴
he's crazy, I know for sure it will
among friends and under bridges
the craziest in town can be found
poolroom in the air
balls in space everywhere
In these lyrics, there seems to be a conversation or observation about the concept of experience and its potential danger. The "barker" in the first line could refer to someone who promotes or presents something, possibly a carnival or sideshow barker, and they proclaim that experience won't kill. However, the singer asserts that this individual is crazy and believes strongly that experience is indeed something that can lead to harm or potential danger. This contradiction sets up a tension between these two viewpoints, suggesting a skepticism towards the barker's reassurances.
Moving on to the setting described in the next lines, the scene shifts to a place where the singer and their friends gather, perhaps in a more unconventional or underground location like under bridges. This setting implies a sense of rebellion or nonconformity, where the "craziest in town" are attracted to this space. The use of the word "craziest" could signify those who are daring, unconventional, or perhaps even troubled individuals who find solace or connection in this particular community.
The imagery then transitions to a more surreal or dreamlike state with the mention of a "poolroom in the air" and "balls in space everywhere." This could be interpreted as a metaphorical representation of a chaotic or disorienting environment where normal rules or physics do not apply. The idea of a poolroom in the air suggests a sense of weightlessness or unpredictability, where traditional boundaries are blurred or nonexistent. Similarly, the image of "balls in space everywhere" adds to this sense of disarray and randomness, conjuring a sense of confusion or disorientation.
Overall, these lyrics paint a vivid picture of a place where the unconventional and daring converge, challenging traditional notions of safety and experience. The juxtaposition of the barker's reassurance with the singer's doubt, combined with the surreal imagery of the scene described, creates a sense of ambiguity and unease. It hints at a world where the line between reality and fantasy is blurred, where the craziest individuals find a sense of belonging in the unpredictable and unconventional spaces they inhabit.
