I'm In Your Band
Scram C Baby Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I'm here now for your own good
and if they're pressing
be defensive, never answer
can you hear them
I'm bending never ending
put your strings right
I might bother you tonight
I carry you
with dedicated talent
I write all songs
my music lasts
I've got so much to offer you
In Scram C Baby's song "I'm In Your Band," the lyrics seem to capture the perspective of a devoted band member who is instrumental to the success and longevity of the band. The opening line, "switch the amps on," suggests the band member's readiness to perform and contribute to the musical experience. They assert their presence in the band, indicating that they are there for the collective good of the group.
The following lines, "and if they're pressing, be defensive, never answer," imply that the band member is aware of the external pressures or criticisms that might arise. The lyrics suggest that rather than responding directly to these pressures, the band member advises the others to remain defensive and not engage. This could be interpreted as the band member's way of protecting the unity and integrity of the band.
The line "can you hear them, I'm bending never ending" conveys a sense of dedication and hard work from the band member. They are attentive to the needs and preferences of their fellow bandmates, continuously adapting and adjusting to ensure a seamless musical experience. The lyrics that follow express a deep commitment to the band, as the member claims to carry and support others with their dedicated talent. They also take credit for writing all the songs, suggesting that their creative contributions greatly impact the band's overall output.
The concluding lines, "my music lasts, I've got so much to offer you," emphasize the band member's belief in the lasting power and significance of their musical contributions. They express confidence in their ability to enrich the band's sound and overall value. The song overall captures a sense of devotion, expertise, and contribution from a band member who plays a crucial role in the band's success.
