The lyrics to Simone's song Começaria Tudo Outra Vez express the singer's willingness to start over again if necessary for the sake of love. Despite any challenges faced in the past, the flame in their heart still burns and nothing experienced was in vain. The singer describes the feeling of holding the Cuba Libre drink, the pain of the symbolically represented lady in lilac hurting their heart, and the desire to feel their loved one's entire body close to theirs.
The singer then sings about how they would sing all night long, like they have before and will again, about everything they have had, have, and will someday have. Esta belíssima, estupenda, magnífica canção de Gonzaguinha, que ganhou esta interpretação não menos espetacular de Simone (sem desmerecer a também sofisticada interpretação de Maria Bethânia), é faixa última do disco "Face a Face", lançado em 1977.
Na minha opinião, Simone no início de sua carreira foi bem profícua, mais talentosa do que veio a ser depois de certa época! Mas continua a ser uma das vozes mais brilhantes entre nossas divas da autêntica MPB!
