Her first album, Corazon De Fuego ("Heart of Fire"), was published in 2005. She also did an album with 80's covers, called Ochenta's (Eighties), and that was published in 2006. Her third album was published in 2008, Sin Miedo, which contains La Noche es Para Mí. Her current album is Dreamer, which was released in 2010.
Soraya got the 2nd place in the reality show Operación Triunfo 2005 (Spanish Idol), edit by Telecinco.
Soraya studied at Nuestra Señora de los Remedios school and at Lostau Valverde High School. In Madrid, she learned English, French and Portuguese. She has worked as a flight attendant, but aspired to become an actress.

The lyrics in Soraya Arnelas's song No siento are about a woman who is finally freeing herself from a toxic relationship. She has realized that she has given too much of herself to this person who has only brought her pain and heartache. This is the last time she will allow this person to hurt her again. She knows that she will never feel their love again, and there is no room left for it in her heart.
Even though this person meant everything to her, she has lost herself in the process of loving them. They have taken away her happiness slowly but surely, and she has had enough. She wants to be free like the wind, to experience happiness and to wake up from this terrible nightmare.
In the end, the woman has come to terms with the fact that this is the end. This person cannot make her happy and she doesn't feel their warmth. She is done with the pain and is moving on to a better life, free from the burden of the relationship that held her down.
