Very early on, Stéphane was fascinated by different kinds of music, listening to pop, rock and new wave. The real trigger happened in the late 80s, when he discovered house. One day in 1997 in Paris, when he was already a fairly famous DJ, he met up with Jean-Louis Costes, who asked him to mix music at his hotel restaurant. Very soon they had the idea of a compilation which could spread worldwide the spirit of the Hôtel Costes, this mythic glamorous place. The first compilation quickly became an undeniable reference. Over a dozen more successful and intense compilations followed.
Then he was asked to deejay everywhere in the world by haute couture designers such as Gucci, actresses like Cameron Diaz, and eventually remixed "What It Feels Like for a Girl" for Madonna… Yet Stéphane Pompougnac is not only a DJ - he is also an accomplished musician, composing and producing his own songs, which he proved in 2003 with the release of his first album Living On The Edge that featured several talented artists, notably Michael Stipe from REM. Today, Stéphane Pompougnac remains one of the most recognized DJs in the world.
Pompougnac released his second album Hello Mademoiselle in early 2006 after his eighth Hôtel Costes compilation.

Não tem mais jeito
Acabou, boa sorte
Não tenho o que dizer
São só palavras
E o que eu sinto
Não mudará
Tudo o que quer me dar
É demais
É pesado
Não há paz
Tudo o que quer de mim
Irreais
Expectativas
Desleais
That's it
There is no way
It's over, good luck
I have nothing left to say
It's only words
And what feel
Won't change
Tudo o que quer me dar
(Everything you want to give me) É demais
É pesado (it's too much)
Não há paz (it's heavy)
Tudo o que quer de mim (there is no peace)
Irreais (all you want from me)
Expectativas (isn't real expectations)
Desleais
Mesmo, se segure
Quero que se cure
Dessa pessoa
Que o aconselha
Há um desencontro
Veja por esse ponto
Há tantas pessoas especiais
Now even if you hold yourself
I want you to get cured from this person
Who advises you
There is a disconnection
See through this point of view
There are so many special people in the world
So many special people in the world, in the world
All you want, all you want
Tudo o que quer me dar
(Everything you want to give me) É demais
É pesado (it's too much)
Não há paz (it's heavy)
Tudo o que quer de mim (there is no peace)
Irreais (all you want from me)
Expectativas (isn't real expectations)
Desleais
Now we're falling (falling) falling (falling) into the night (into the night)
We're falling (falling) falling (falling) into the night
Um bom encontro é de dois
Now we're falling (falling) falling (falling) into the night
(Into the night)
Falling (falling) falling (falling) into the night
The song "Boa Sorte" by Stéphane Pompougnac starts with the lyrics "É só isso, não tem mais jeito, acabou, boa sorte" which translates to "That's it, there is no way, it's over, good luck". The singer admits that there's nothing left to say, only words, and no amount of words will change the way they feel. The person they're speaking to wants to give them too much, and the weight of the gift is too heavy, which makes it impossible to have peace. The singer also shares that the expectations imposed on them are unrealistic, which is unfair.
The song takes a turn when the singer encourages the person they're speaking to hold on and work on themselves to get better from the person who's been giving them bad advice but reassures them that there are so many special people in the world, and they're one of them. The song then ends by saying "Um bom encontro é de dois", which means "A good encounter is for two", emphasizing the need to have balance and equality in a relationship.
Overall, the song is about ending a relationship that has become too burdensome and setting boundaries with unrealistic expectations. It highlights the importance of self-care and working through personal issues to be able to have healthy relationships with others.
