Tim met ex-drummer Ben Davis during a cigarette break at school. Ben (who then played bass) and Tim started to play together on a regular basis until Tim invited Airin Older, a fellow classmate, to join. Ben was moved to the position of drummer and Airin filled in for Ben on bass. Marko DeSantis was added into the band after meeting Tim back stage at a Superdrag concert. The pair apparently met because Tim was wearing a suit that resembled the one Marko wore to the show. Tim asked Marko to join the band before even hearing Marko play a single note on the guitar.
In the Summer of 2004, the critically acclaimed "Vans Warped Tour" featured Sugarcult, who were, in fact, the final band to play at the year's tour.
After the tour, the Band teamed up with Green Day, and New Found Glory on their tour of the US, and were a huge success.
In 2006, The EA Games title "Burnout 3: Takedown" featured the song "Memory" from the Album "Palm Trees and Power Lines" and was an instant success.
After years of touring and recording, Ben was asked to leave the band due to his extensive alcoholism. Ben has said he would rather be sober out of the band than drunk and still in the band. Kenny Livingston was drafted into the band after recording Palm Trees And Power Lines and touring with the band.

How Does It Feel
Sugarcult Lyrics

Falling out of your past,
All the letters you wrote,
And you thought as a joke,
And the phone never rings,
When you're cold and it stings,
All the hall lights suck,
And I'm dying, dying, dying,
So how does it feel?
How does it feel?
'Cause it's tearing me apart,
So how does it feel?
How does it feel?
'Cause it's tearing me apart,
Well I'm back for some more,
Round two was so boring,
I'm drifting away,
'cause you want it that way,
And I'm picking up pieces and parts that completely,
Have broken in two,
So it must have been you,
While you're lying in bed with somebody,
So how does it feel?
How does it feel?
'cause it's tearing me apart,
So how does it feel?
How does it feel?
'cause it's tearing me apart,
Cannot convince me anymore,
Cannot control me like before,
You cannot convince me anymore,
You cannot control me like before,
[Repeat: x6]
How does it feel?
And it's 1:45,
And I'm feeling alive,
I've got it all,
And it's your last call,
There's somebody knew,
And she's better then you,
You've been replaced by a pretty face,
So you who's cryin' now,
We don't want to be the enemies of what we used to be,
We don't want to be the enemies of what we used to be,
So how does it feel?
How does it feel?
'cause it's tearing me apart,
So how does it feel?
How does it feel?
'cause it's tearing me apart,
So how does it feel?
How does it feel now?
How does it feel?
How does it feel now?
Sugarcult's "How Does It Feel" is a song that speaks from an emotionally challenging place. It is about a relationship that has become stale and toxic. The singer is struggling to deal with the sudden change in dynamics of the relationship, and the lyrics seem to be an outpouring of his frustration and pain. The opening lines of the song are "Well, I'm back in the class, falling out of your past," which suggests that the singer is revisiting memories of his past relationship. The letters that he received from his ex are brought up in the chorus, where he asks "How does it feel? 'cause it's tearing me apart."
The second verse contains lines like "I'm picking up pieces and parts that completely have broken in two. So it must have been you, lying in bed with somebody." Here, the singer hints at the reason why the relationship ended, and it becomes clear that he was cheated on. The chorus still repeats the question "How does it feel?" but the theme is slightly different this time. It portrays the singer's need for closure and repayment from his cheating ex-girlfriend, asking how it feels to let go of him and see him move on with someone else.
The song is full of emotional depth and is a testament to the struggles that people often face in relationships. It speaks of the pain that one feels when they are cheated on, the difficulty of moving on, and the importance of closure. It is a song that can resonate with anyone who has had their heart broken.

Well I'm back in the class,
I find myself in the same situation again
Falling out of your past,
Trying to move on from your memories
All the letters you wrote,
All the words you left behind
And you thought as a joke,
Thinking it meant nothing
And the phone never rings,
No one reaches out to me
When you're cold and it stings,
Feeling the pain of neglect
All the hall lights suck,
Everything around me seems to suck
By themselves 'cause I'm fucked,
I feel helpless and alone
And I'm dying, dying, dying,
I'm consumed by my emotions
So how does it feel?
Do you feel the same way I do?
How does it feel?
Tell me how you feel
'Cause it's tearing me apart,
I'm falling apart because of this
So how does it feel?
Please let me know
How does it feel?
I need to understand
'Cause it's tearing me apart,
This pain is unbearable
Well I'm back for some more,
Back to the same old thing
Round two was so boring,
Doing it again was uneventful
I'm drifting away,
Slowly slipping away
'Cause you want it that way,
You're making it hard for me to stay
And I'm picking up pieces and parts that completely,
Trying to put together what's left of me
Have broken in two,
I'm broken into pieces
So it must have been you,
You were the reason behind my fall
While you're lying in bed with somebody,
You have moved on with someone else
Cannot convince me anymore,
I won't be fooled again
Cannot control me like before,
You have no influence over me now
How does it feel?
Do you feel the same pain?
How does it feel?
Is it affecting you too?
Repeat: x6 How does it feel?
I need to understand
And it's 1:45,
It's late at night
And I'm feeling alive,
I feel alive despite the pain
I've got it all,
I'm over you
And it's your last call,
You'll never hear from me again
There's somebody knew,
Someone new and better came along
And she's better then you,
She's better than you ever were
You've been replaced by a pretty face,
You've become irrelevant
So you who's cryin' now,
Now it's your turn to feel the pain
We don't want to be the enemies of what we used to be,
We don't want to forget the good times
We don't want to be the enemies of what we used to be,
We don't want to be enemies
How does it feel?
Do you miss me?
How does it feel?
Do you regret what we had?
'cause it's tearing me apart,
The pain is still there
So how does it feel?
Do you feel it too?
How does it feel?
Let me know
'cause it's tearing me apart,
This feeling is consuming me
How does it feel now?
Do you feel anything at all?
How does it feel?
Tell me
How does it feel now?
Now that everything has changed?

Worrying is like a rocking chair. It gives you something to do, but doesn’t get you anywhere.

Takes me back to the early 2000's. Haven't heard this album in almost 20 years and I still remember the words to the songs.
