Synestesia played their first gigs at local venues in 2002, the same year their first demo-cd "Talvimyrkky" was released. "Aikamme Orjat" was made in 2003, where after the band was put on hold until November 2005. With new material composed during the break, the band entered the studio in June 2006. "Heikkojen Herralle", was released on June 30th, 2006.
After the positive feedback "Heikkojen Herralle" received, Synestesia played a couple of gigs and most importantly; started to write new material for their upcoming release. The band entered the studio in June 2007 and in August the hard work was rewarded. "Ihmisen Nimeen" cd-ep was released in August 15th, 2007 as a free download on the band's home page.
They split-up at 2012.

The opening lines of Synestesia's song "Rakastan sinua" describe a dark and intense scenario. The singer tells the listener that it begins with tying their wrist and covering their eyes; they are too afraid to look into their gaze. With their lips sealed and clothes removed, they relish in the warmth and tell their lover to trust them, assuring them that they won't let their fears hurt them. They apologize and ask for forgiveness, but acknowledge that it may be futile in this moment.
The lyrics then take a more eerie turn as the singer talks about cutting their lover's wrist, causing blood to slowly flow while telling them that they can simply sleep and escape the pain. They describe the beauty of the silent plea of a dying person. However, the final verse reveals that all of this was just a scene in the singer's mind, as they remove the bindings and embrace their lover one last time before they pass away.
