In the song La Ya Habibi by Tamer Hosny and Sherine Abdel Wahab, the lyrics express a deep sense of love and devotion towards the person addressed as "my love". The singer declares a long-lasting bond between them and the feeling of growing younger with the one they love. Despite the passing of time and its signs of exhaustion on the body, they claim to be willing to endure the fatigue in order to provide comfort and peace to their beloved. The person addressed is seen as a unique presence that makes the days look and feel differently, standing out from anyone else. On that account, the singer invites their love to come closer, to embrace their being and forget about the worries of the world, to enjoy together the simple things like walking on the earth.
The chorus sums up the main message, emphasizing the significance of the love bond as being a second element in the singer's life that shapes and colors the days differently from anything else. The repetition of the question "Are you my second love, or are you the only one?" indicates the intensity of the question and the confusion or fear of having their love replaced or challenged by someone else, thus implying that this bond is top priority.
Overall, La Ya Habibi portrays a sense of deep love and appreciation towards the person addressed, identifying them as a vital component in the singer's life, a source of energy, and a unique presence that shapes the world around them.
