He’s also, as evidenced earlier on the album, great at writing about his own issues, and this song is no different. There’s the romantic infidelities (“I’ve got two left feet and I’m starting to cheat on my girlfriend again”), and his well-publicised addictions (“As the crowd cheered for an overdose”, “I said ‘I’m done babe, I’m out of the scene’/But I was picking up on Bethnal Green/She said I’d been romanticising heroin”). The lyrics are sad enough as it is, but combined with the glittering, melancholy mesh that the remaining Adam, George and bassist MacDonald build beneath, it’s utterly depressing.

We shared friends in Soho
She is a pain in the nose
And I'm a pain in women's clothes
And you're a walking overdose in a great coat
And so she wrote a plan for it on the back of a fag packet
She had to leave because she couldn't hack it
I think I've spent all my money and your friends, oh
But how I'd love to go to Paris again (again, again, again and again)
Oh, how I'd love to go to Paris again (again, again, again and again)
Mr. Serotonin Man, lend me a gram
You call yourself a friend?
I got two left feet and I'm starting to cheat
On my girlfriend again
I caught a pinky in her nose
As the crowd cheered for an overdose
And I don't suppose you know where this train goes
There was a party that she had to miss
Because her friend kept cutting her wrists
Hyperpoliticized sexual trysts
Oh, I think my boyfriend's a nihilist
I said, hey kids we're all just the same
What a shame
Ya know, how I'd love to go to Paris again (again, again, again and again)
And how I'd love to go to Paris again (again, again, again and again)
Oh stop being an asshole
And counting my eye rolls
And like pistols falls in the snow
Uh oh
Keeping paying the tab on my half
Man you putting me up on a shelf
Well I believed you're clean
But only I've seen your fist for myself
And then she pointed at a bag of her dreams
In a well posh magazine
I said I'm done, babe I'm out of the scene,
But I was picking up from Bethnal Green
She said I've been romanticizing heroin
And oh how I'd love to go to Paris, to Paris again (again, again, again and again)
And how I'd love to go to Paris again (again, again, again and again)
And how I'd love to go to Paris again (again, again, again and again)
And how I'd love to go to Paris again (again, again, again and again)
The 1975's song "Paris" is a haunting and introspective commentary on the darker side of life in the big city. The singer is introduced to a woman who is "a pain in the nose," while he is "a pain in women's clothes." Despite their differences, they each sense a certain affinity for one another, united by their mutual friends in Soho.
The woman begins to reveal her plans for the future on the back of a cigarette packet, but abruptly leaves, unable to handle the chaos of the city. The singer laments the loss of his money and friends, and longs to return to the romantic allure of Paris. However, his musings are cut short by the intrusion of a drug dealer, referred to as "Mr. Serotonin Man." The singer acknowledges his own infidelity and his girlfriend's struggles with self-harm, while also bemoaning the nihilistic tendencies of his boyfriend. As the song progresses, the turmoil of the city becomes increasingly apparent, as the singer witnesses a crowd cheering for an overdose and grapples with the temptation of heroin.
Overall, "Paris" portrays a dark and gritty image of urban life, while also exploring themes of addiction, alienation, and escapism.

because he is comparing his forehead wrinkles to disgusting pissholes in the beautiful snow

Very common British saying, when you have eyes like 'pissholes in the snow' it means you look really tired or hungover.
