In 2005, The Adams released their self-titled debut album, featuring the singles "Konservatif" and "Waiting," both of which were also featured in the hit movie Janji Joni. Later in the year, Beni left to focus on his duties as drummer for The Upstairs, while Bimo moved to Bali to continue his studies. Karon ’N Roll guitarist Arfan (or Apoy) was drafted as bassist, Gigih Suryoprayogo Setiadi (alias Kiting) of It’s Different Class took over Bimo’s place behind the drumkit, and live keyboardist Retiara Haswidya Nasution (a.k.a Kaka) was promoted to full-time member.
In 2006, The Adams’ new line-up released v2.05, which expanded their old sound with more elaborate song structures and swirling five-part harmonies. With the hit singles "Halo Beni," "Hanya Kau" and "Selamat Pagi Juwita" and their electrifying live shows, The Adams have become one of Indonesia’s most exciting bands.
After a long hiatus in 2008 to work on other projects, The Adams are now back and ready to make more music and reconnect with their fans who have been awaiting their return.

Dalam doa
Rasa mimpi
Hadir datang
Dan imaji yang hilang
Memori
Berulang
Dan rindu tatapannya
Bisikanmu pun terdengar
Peluk hangat
Dalam doa
Dan gambaran yang hilang
Bayangan
Mengulang
Dan marahnya terlintas (marahnya terlintas)
Ujaran tak terbatas (ujaran tak terbatas)
Nasihatmu pun terdengar
Hangat doa
Hangat doa

The song "Dalam Doa" by The Adams speaks about the power of prayer as a source of comfort, memories, and strength in times of loss, longing, and bitterness. The title itself means "in prayer" and is repeated throughout the song as if to emphasize the recurring nature of praying as a habit, a hope, and a plea. The first stanza describes the way prayer brings back a sense of dreaming, of imagination, and of missing someone's gaze and smile. The word "mimpi" which means "dream" also sounds like "impi" which means "hope", suggesting that praying is a way to keep a vision alive even when it seems lost or blurry. The word "memori" which means "memory" is also repeated, indicating how prayer can help us remember the past and the people who matter to us.
The second stanza shifts to a more challenging mood, where the singer recalls moments of anger and unlimited speech, possibly with someone who has passed away or left. The phrase "marahnya terlintas" which means "his/her anger flashes by" implies that the person was not always easy to deal with, yet even in those moments of frustration, prayer can offer a sense of guidance or consolation. The phrase "ujaran tak terbatas" which means "unlimited words" suggests that the singer might have said too much or too little, but prayer can help them say what they need to say and listen to the voice of wisdom. The line "hangat doa" which means "warm prayer" is repeated several times at the end as if to express gratitude for the warmth and peace that prayer brings.
Overall, "Dalam Doa" is a poignant reminder of the importance of faith, hope, and love in facing life's ups and downs. It shows how prayer can bridge the present and the past, the joy and the sorrow, and the self and the other.
