In 2005, The Adams released their self-titled debut album, featuring the singles "Konservatif" and "Waiting," both of which were also featured in the hit movie Janji Joni. Later in the year, Beni left to focus on his duties as drummer for The Upstairs, while Bimo moved to Bali to continue his studies. Karon ’N Roll guitarist Arfan (or Apoy) was drafted as bassist, Gigih Suryoprayogo Setiadi (alias Kiting) of It’s Different Class took over Bimo’s place behind the drumkit, and live keyboardist Retiara Haswidya Nasution (a.k.a Kaka) was promoted to full-time member.
In 2006, The Adams’ new line-up released v2.05, which expanded their old sound with more elaborate song structures and swirling five-part harmonies. With the hit singles "Halo Beni," "Hanya Kau" and "Selamat Pagi Juwita" and their electrifying live shows, The Adams have become one of Indonesia’s most exciting bands.
After a long hiatus in 2008 to work on other projects, The Adams are now back and ready to make more music and reconnect with their fans who have been awaiting their return.
Lingkar Luar

Berkendara dari pinggir kota
Menuju Jakarta
Semangat membara, namun
Terjebak deru mesin kota
Yang mulai bekerja
Ku mencari-cari cara
Berselancar melihat peta
Garis-garis merah
Mewarnai antar muka
Putar arah menyusuri jalan
Saling berhimpitan
Untuk sampai tujuan
[Chorus]
Pikiranku melayang jauh
Mencari cara ‘tuk berlabuh
[Bridge]
Matahari kian menyengat
Asap pekat
Berkeringat
Panas aspal pun menjilat
Urungkan niat
Terlalu berat
[Chorus]
Pikiranku melayang jauh
Mencari cara ‘tuk berlabuh
[Instrumental]
[Chorus]
Pikiranku melayang jauh
Mencari cara ‘tuk berlabuh
[Outro]
Ganti saja di lain waktu
Pikiranku sudah terlalu jenuh
The Adams's song Lingkar Luar is about a journey from the outskirts of Jakarta to the city center. The lyrics describe the challenges of navigating through the crowded and noisy urban environment, where the sound of engines and the heat of the sun make it difficult to focus. The singer of the song is determined to find a way to reach his destination, but feels lost and overwhelmed by the complexity of the task. He seeks guidance from maps and tries to maneuver through the busy streets, but struggles to find a safe harbor for his thoughts.
The chorus of the song captures the singer's sense of longing and uncertainty, as he struggles to find a way to anchor his thoughts and feelings: "Pikiranku melayang jauh/Mencari cara ‘tuk berlabuh" (My thoughts drift away/Looking for a way to anchor). The bridge adds to this feeling of desperation, as the heat and pollution of the city wear down the singer and make it hard for him to keep going: "Matahari kian menyengat/Asap pekat/Berkeringat/Panas aspal pun menjilat/Urungkan niat/Terlalu berat" (The sun is scorching/Thick smoke/Sweating/Hot asphalt licks at me/Giving up/Too heavy).
