Formed in Hawthorne, California in 1961, the original group comprised singer-musician-composer and bandleader Brian Wilson, his brothers Carl Wilson and Dennis Wilson, their cousin Mike Love, and friend Al Jardine. Wilson neighbor David Marks appeared on their first four albums and was a member from 1962 to 1963 as a temporary replacement for Jardine, who had left the group to pursue a career in dentistry.
On their first few studio albums, the group primarily played surf music, but this changed after 1964 as their songs became more sophisticated and autobiographical. The 1965 album Today! particularly represented this shift in sound. Bruce Johnston joined the group that same year. Session drummer Hal Blaine is quoted: "We all studied in conservatories; we were trained musicians. We thought it was a fluke at first, but then we realized Brian was writing these incredible songs. This was not just a young kid writing about high school and surfing."
Following their most esteemed work, Pet Sounds (1966), the band became symbols of psychedelic counterculture. The highly anticipated follow-up, Smile, was left unfinished, and Brian soon relinquished his creative hold on the group. A trilogy of lo-fi releases followed: Smiley Smile (1967), Wild Honey (1967), and Friends (1968). Brian would not be credited as a primary composer for any Beach Boys album until 1977's Love You, an album on the fringe of synth-pop, new wave, and punk.
In Brian's absence, the Beach Boys still managed to release music that was regarded favorably by fans and critics despite poor sales: Sunflower (1970) and Surf's Up (1971). South African musicians Blondie Chaplin and Ricky Fataar played and sang with the band on the next two albums: Carl & the Passions - So Tough (1972), and Holland (1973).
Many changes in both musical style and personnel have occurred in their sometimes-stormy career: Brian Wilson's mental illness and drug addiction; the deaths of Dennis Wilson in 1983 and Carl Wilson in 1998; and continuing legal battles among surviving members of the group. With the release of 1974's Endless Summer they became a more popular touring act, playing their greatest hits. They have recorded 36 Billboard Top 40 hits (including four number-one singles), have had over 100 million sales, and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1988.

The Beach Boys Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
My luck was so bad
I thought I used up all the luck I had
(Luck I had)
Every time I thought I'd get it on
Someone put me on
There's been a change
Beautiful and strange
My life's gone through a change
Somehow I know
(Somehow I know)
Bad luck's in the past
All good things here at last
So now we'll grow
(Now we'll grow)
There's been a change
Mmm, bad luck no more
No bad luck no more
No bad luck no more
I got news for you (no bad luck no more)
There ain’t no blues (no bad luck no more)
I got news for you (no bad luck no more)
(No bad luck no more)
I got news for you (no bad luck no more)
There ain’t no blues (no bad luck no more)
I got news for you (no bad luck no more)
(No bad luck no more)
I got news for you (no bad luck no more)
There ain’t no blues (no bad luck no more)
I got news for you (no bad luck no more)
(No bad luck no more)
Listen to the voices loud and clear
Come on folks, withstand your fear
Celebrate the joys, it’s yours to choose
Celebrate the news (ooh, come on)
There ain’t no blues (ooh, come on)
Come on (come on), come on (come on)
Come on (come on), come on (come on)
Come on (come on), come on (come on)
Come on (come on), come on (come on)
Come on (come on), come on (come on)
Come on (come on), come on (come on)
Come on (come on), come on (come on)
Come on (come on), come on (come on)
The lyrics to "Celebrate the News" by The Beach Boys appear to be about a person who has finally turned their luck around. At the start of the song, the singer describes how their luck had been consistently bad, but now they feel as if their life has taken a turn for the better. They describe the change as being both "beautiful and strange," suggesting that it's a bit surreal for them to experience good fortune after so much bad luck.
The rest of the song is about celebrating this change and spreading positivity to others. The singer encourages listeners to be brave in the face of fear and to focus on the good things in life. The repeated refrain of "no bad luck no more" emphasizes the idea that the singer has moved past their previous streak of misfortune and is ready to embrace the present moment.
Overall, the lyrics to "Celebrate the News" convey a sense of hope and joy in the face of adversity. It's a reminder that things can change for the better, and that it's important to focus on the positive aspects of life.

if i may ask, how did you sync up the song? im looking to make a better quality version and i cant find the correct percentage to change the tempo for the session outtake.
Mr. J. Wilson
I pretty much cut up the backing track every 2-4 bars or so (i.e. the length of one line of lyrics) and individually changed each section's tempo so the drum hits would be (mostly) synced to those on the single version. There was also some shuffling around of parts from the backing track to match the structure of the single version and some micro-edits if one drum hit was particularly ahead/behind (plus a very last minute pitch change that slipped past me the first time - see description). Tedious, but the only way for it to be consistent throughout.

@Mr. J. Wilson that does seem to be very tedious, do you still happen to have the file of the edited backing track so i could maybe use that to easily sync up? If so, could you by any chance put it into a google drive and send a link here? so sorry for asking for that much, and if you happen to not have it anymore, its fine.

Much better, nice work!
