A Taste of Honey
The Beatles Lyrics

A taste of honey
Tasting much sweeter than wine

Do do do
Do do do

I dream of your first kiss, and then
I feel upon my lips again
A taste of honey (a taste of honey)
Tasting much sweeter than wine

Oh, I will return, yes, I will return
I'll come back for the honey and you

Do do do
Do do do

Yours was the kiss that awoke my heart
There lingers still, though we're far apart
That taste of honey, a taste of honey
Tasting much sweeter than wine

Oh, I will return, yes, I will return
I'll come back (he'll come back)
For the honey (for the honey)
And you

@David Pearson well, I am glad to hear that. I have always been a great fan of the Beatles and I noticed a long time ago that it is kind of no acceptable to like McCartney too much. He is seen as soft guy and creator of soapy melodies and John is the thought real one. Alpha males prefer should prefer John.

Both were geniuses. Paul was able to write about the sweetest things of life like being in love: 'Here, there and everywhere' 'And I love her... but also he wrote about its darker dide: 'Eleanor Rigby', 'For none' (probably the greatest Beatles' song), 'Let it be'... This myth was propagated by John himself. He made fun of Paul's songs often: 'And I love her', for instance, he called sarcastically Paul's first 'Yesterday'. Like if he was saying 'Yesterday's is garbage. A foolish thing to say.

Sorry, alpha males and Bruce Willies' replicants out there, but I love 'Here, there and everywhere, 'Mother Nature's son' and all that Paul's stuff... George Martin maintained he (Paul), was the real musician in The Beatles.

Didn’t John make fun of this by singing, “A waste of money?”

edit: He did.

@Seven-Seven Sevens Meader did a comedy album in 1962 (IIRC), skits with voice actors portraying John, Bobbie, etc. that was pretty popular. Sorry I can't remember the name of it. A few years later he did an "interview" comedy album with the recorded voices of LBJ, Bobbie, Ike and other well known contemporary political people called "Welcome to the LBJ Ranch" which, though aged, is still pretty funny. Allen Sherman is/was probably best known for his "Hello Mudder, Hello Fodder" boy's letter from camp.
