Lucille don't you do your daddy wrong
Lucille don't you do your daddy wrong
I ain't done nothing to you please come back where you belong

When I woke up this morning Lucille was not in sight
I was not ??? did all right

A from the early early morning to the early early night
Lucille ??? Lucille was not in sight

Lucille please come back where you belong
I ain't done nothing to you come back come back home

From the early early morning to the early early night
I asked my girlfriend lucille was on her bike

Lucille please come back where you belong
I ain't done nothing to you come back home where you belong

Lucille don't you do your daddy wrong

I ain't done nothing to you come back where you belong
Lucille

Overall Meaning

is a classic blues song that was originally recorded by Little Richard in 1957. The Cross covered the song in 1990 and added their own twist to it. The lyrics of the song are about a man who is trying to find his girlfriend, Lucille, who has left him without any explanation. He begs her to come back to him and assures her that he has done nothing wrong.

The first verse of the song is a warning to Lucille not to do her "daddy" wrong. This could be interpreted as a warning to Lucille not to cheat on her partner or to cause him any pain. The man then pleads for Lucille to come back and be with him again. The second verse describes how the man wakes up one morning to find that Lucille is not by his side. He spends the whole day searching for her but cannot find her. He then asks his girlfriend if she has seen Lucille but she too does not know where she is. The man continues to beg for Lucille to come back to him and assures her that he has done nothing wrong.
