I) The Kicks (inactive) were a pop punk band from Little Rock, Arkansas.
They formed in 2000 under their original name, Ashtray Babyhead, and gathered a local fanbase.
They were compared to The Ataris and blink-182, but never experienced the success of either of those two bands.
The band changed their name to The Kicks and were signed to XS Records. Their Self-Titled debut album was released in 2002.
After touring with such bands as Nada Surf, The Donnas, and Dashboard Confessional, The Kicks moved to TVT Records, underwent a lineup change, and released "Hello Hong Kong" in 2003.
The band has been inactive since 2004.
II) The Kicks (2009-present) were previously known as the Four Kicks. They are based in Nashville, Tennessee, and play classic rock / British invasion songs.

I was 19 years old when I had a respiratory arrest after a night of partying. I was in coma for 18 hours my parents were told that I was dead, that the machines were keeping me alive. They signed the papers and came to the room were my βlifelessβ body was to say their final goodbyes. My best friend was with them, my brother was in the waiting room praying with his friends.
While all of this was happening I was getting closer and closer to a beautiful light. I was in a dark tunnel, I wasnβt the only one there, I saw a lot of flashes (souls) passing me and going straight to the light. For some reason I got to a point I couldnβt move forward. I remember like it was yesterday, how much I wanted to reach the light. I remember how peaceful and happy I was feeling the closer I was getting to the light. I felt like my soul knew that place. I reached a point I couldnβt move any further. I kept trying but I was like glued to the floor. At one moment an old lady, stood up next to me. She had a very sweet, noble face. I recognized her face, but till this day, I donβt know who she is. She asked me βwhat are you doing?β I said βthe light, I want to go to the lightβ she smiled and said βand you will go there, but not todayβ she touched my shoulder and I felt like the floor opened up and I started falling down. It felt like a free but peaceful fall.
I opened my eyes, I was surrounded of people crying. My parents, brother, best friend, cousin and 2 of my brother friends were there. The doctors and nurses came rushing to see me. I was alive! The medical staff couldnβt believe it!
The days before this happened to me, I was feeling lonely, depression kept on lying to me, telling me no one care, that my life wasnβt worth it, that I wasnβt good enough for this world. What a surprise to find out that more than 100 people including family and family friends gathered the night before they were going to unplug my lifeless body to pray for me, to pray for a miracle. I was surprised to see how a paramedic visited my room after finding out I survived to tell me I was in his prayers and to ask me what happened while I was dying. a nurse was also praying for me. She told me, she secretly prays for her dying patients, but she has a special place in her heart and extra prayers for young dying patients.
I am in my 30βs now. I am a mother and a wife now. My life hasnβt been easy but I am so glad to be here.
Donβt let depression lie to you, God loves you and you are here with a purpose. You are not alone! Life will get better.
I remember how I felt when I got out of the hospital. The sense of appreciation and happiness I felt for being alive. I remember how something as simple as watching and hearing the birds in my backyard was so meaningful to my soul.
God speak to us through his creation daily. We are just to caught up with work, financial problems, material things, toxic relationships, Social apps to listen.
Do yourself a favor and prioritize connecting with him. Sit under a tree, touch the grass with your feet , listen to the birds, the wind, stare at the sky. I promise you, you will feel him, your anxiety will go away, you will smile and feel glad to be alive.
